B2B (Business-to-Business)
Trade between businesses — here, an Indian exporter and a foreign importer, wholesaler or institutional buyer holding their own import licence.
Definition
Business-to-Business trade, in the pharmaceutical export context, means selling to a licensed importer, wholesaler, hospital group, pharmacy chain or government procurement body abroad, who holds the import authorisation for their own country. The exporter's compliance burden is to verify the buyer's licence and supply correct documentation; the buyer's own regulator governs onward sale.
Why It Matters
This is the legal, scalable model for exporting most pharmaceutical categories from India, and is the model this platform operates on — we do not sell prescription medicines directly to individual consumers.
